SAS Text Miner is used for text analytics worldwide. Its Arabic handling was not built by native computational linguists, and it showed. We worked directly with the SAS research and development team to change that.
What the work involved
- Working with SAS R&D to develop the capabilities of SAS Text Miner for more effective processing of Arabic.
- Applying our computational linguistics and natural language processing research to an enterprise-scale commercial platform.
- Holding both SAS business partner and SAS development partner status in Kuwait.
When a vendor of that size brings in an outside team for a specific language, it is a reasonable signal about where the expertise sits.
